Ottman Family

On October 16th Mark Ottman was taken via ambulance to MMC where he was admitted with double pneumonia, pleurisy and fluid in both lungs. He was very weak and sick and  he spent the next 5 days inpatient at MMC.  At this time Mark is still recovering (on his 4th different antibiotic to try and fight this infection) and does not know when he may be able to return to work.  If this antibiotic doesn’t do the trick, there will be further pulmonary testing needed. He used any vacation time he had because he was sick (prior to being hospitalized) and he does not have any paid time left or short term disability.  He has a $4,000 individual deductible and has lost wages for weeks with no end in sight.   While my sister Jenny Ottman works full time she is unable to cover the families expenses on her own.  She was diagnosised with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) 8 years ago and has her own medical expenses each year including MRI's to track the diseases progression and very expensive out of pocket monthly prescriptions to keep her MS under control.  The majority of her income pays for the families medical insurance.   Her own deductible is $4,000 each year.  I'm seeking the communities help with medical expenses and to help cover lost wages so Mark can focus on recovering.  Mark will help anyone he can and is now in need of help himself.  He's very proud and this is not easy for him.  Anything you can do whether it's prayers, a meal or a monetary donation is appreciated more than you'll ever know.
