Otto Phelps

Otto Phelps just 5 years old was diagnosed with leukemia on Saturday, January 21st. Otto's mom, Erica noticed him acting tired that previous week and felt he had a fever Friday night. After taking him into the doctor Saturday for what she thought would be just a virus going around, she received the worst news any parent wants to hear. Over the next couple days doctors and nurses moved quickly to find answers. Otto has had a couple blood transfusions over the weekend along with a spinal tap, bone marrow test and his first bit of chemo Monday afternoon.
He is staying at the University of Iowa with his family. They will continue to be here for the next week or more until they get more answers and a game plan on how to move forward.
We should know more this afternoon or sometime Tuesday.

Erica and her family are trying hard to update everyone and thank those who have reached out.
She has asked me to set up this gofundme page while she focuses her time and energy on being there for Otto.
Otto and Erica have became great friends with my kids & I and my heart is breaking for them.
All funds raised will goto Otto and his parents to help with unexpected costs.
