Update:

Otto is currently still in the ICU after having only supposed to be in the ICU for 4 days. The road to recovery is longer than initially expected. With that comes more medical expenses and more expenses for Dawn as she is constantly at the hospital. Please help Otto and Dawn if you can.

Our lives have been changed in a mere instant. Otto was cutting a dead tree down and fell from the tree. He was medevac'd to Birmingham. He has suffered multiple spinal fractures, two broken ribs, and a cracked sternum. The spinal injuries have caused the loss of all feeling below his chest and will require multiple surgeries. Best case scenario will be several weeks in the hospital and months of intensive rehab, but the probability is very low that he will ever regain the use of his legs. Once home, he will face even more obstacles while learning to adapt to his new lifestyle. This will also come with more monetary challenges for the family. Any help to cover all of the expenses associated with his medical costs and his new way of life will be greatly appreciated.
