OU Minority Association for Pre-Health Students

Ohio University's Minority Association of Pre-Health Students is a student-led organization that fosters community between multicultural students through our programs and events that provide insight into the health professions, mentorship opportunities with medical students from the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU HCOM), and valuable volunteering and outreach involvement in and beyond campus. Further, by addressing the needs of underserved communities, MAPS helps to increase the number of clinically excellent, culturally competent, and socially conscious professionals. We welcome and highly encourage all Ohio University students and Athens residnts to attend our events so that M.A.P.S., enabling us all to further amplify the voices, needs, and concerns of minority students and communities of all demographics.

We would love to best equip our multicultural pre-health students with the most resources possible. One way to do so is by fundraising to increase the budget for major event planning and interactive meetings to allocate towards programming for retention for our multicultural undergraduate students, as we support them on their journeys to helping to improve the health and wellness of all, with an emphasis on underserved and underrepresented communities.

OU M.A.P.S. sends our greatest thanks and appreciation to all who send donations. All proceeds go towards our official Ohio University organizational account, allowing us to directly use funds to provide our students with supplies, equipment, and funding for travel to multicultural medical conferences! We are elated to facilitate these experiences, with your help, we can further this goal!
