Our 1 year old Corgi needs heart surgery
Donation protected
Hi there, thank you for taking your time to read our story. Our sweet Athena is a 1 year-old Pembroke Welsh Corgi. She is my daughter’s first love (puppy) and Ms. Athena is requiring heart surgery due to an extra layer of skin on her heart which is placing extraordinary pressure on her heart and slowly closing her esophagus. The condition is called Persistent Right Aortic Arch. If Ms. Athena’s condition is left untreated, she is at risk of severe pneumonia and/or death. The cost of the surgery is between $4,000 - $6,000 which we are attempting to piecemeal together, and asking for your help in doing so. We are currently awaiting an official surgery date, and of course, more tests – always more tests.
Ms. Athena has to be held upright after each meal due to her condition for 30 minutes, four times a day. This condition is excruciating for her and devastating to my daughter (and all who love them).
Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story. Any way you can help and/or share our story is greatly appreciated. God Bless!
