Our 1 year old Chocolate Labrador, Whiskers

Hi, I am Valerie, this fundraiser is to help my 1 year old chocolate Labrador recover from a severed Achilles tendon.

We are beyond thankful for Veterinary Surgical Center of Portland (aka BluePearl) Our sweet boy is home from his Achilles tendon surgery and on the road to recovery. 

Sweet Whiskey Bear had a terrible accident that happened October 13, 2022. Whiskey managed to get his leg caught between the siding and foundation of our backyard unit, where he severed all 3 tendons on a piece of metal trim. Such a horrific and unimaginable accident. It will be a long road to recovery but we are so overwhelmed with hope and gratitude. There will be additional aftercare cost aswell as a custom brace to help support the tendons after the full leg cast is removed in 6-8 weeks. 

Our biggest struggle in financing this ourselves is my husband just got out of the hospital last month for major blood clots in the lungs. We have bills we are managing from that and now we have this on our shoulders.

We hope to continue to pay it forward in our future. Our family greatly appreciates the help. We want to provide our sweet boy with the best quality of life that we can. Thank you.
