Please help Save Ryley with leukemia/ brain bleeds

Donation protected

Hello Ryley Stephens is my 16 year old great niece, my sisters Granddaughter.
after 2 months of misdiagnoses in two other hospitals.   St Mary’s Children's hospital diagnosed her with Leukemia on Saturday within hours of being in the hospital.  On Monday they insert a port and started her Chemo right away.

The aggressive Chemo had a rare reaction
She got blood clots and brain bleeds and
the had to open her skull to release pressure.

Lori , Ryleys mom wanted to get a smile
out of her so a volunteer barber came in and shaved her head and yes she got a smile

Ryleys Dad Scott visits after work every day, and Relieves Lori on Weekends

Ryley getting out for a little fresh air at the hospital in the dinosaur garden

A group came into St Mary’s and donated ukulele’s. Ryley was given one and again she’s smiling

Ryley was very tired after a lumbar puncture and chemo injection in her spine again yesterday
Ryley tried on a new wig and had her nails done by wonderful women who were donating their time today♥️

Ryley's immune system dropped again today so they are holding off on the lumbar puncture and chemo tomorrow. Will do it later this week when blood work is better hopefully. She did physical therapy today already and is sleeping now, got pretty tired. Neurosurgeon will be in this week for evaluation.

Lori and Scott Stephens are her Parents
and are in desperate need of a reliable car
as her chemo treatments will last 8 months and that’s a 80 mile round trip
from Jensen Beach to St Mary’s children’s hospital in West Palm Beach.  The brain surgery which is a rare complication from the chemo is keeping her in the hospital for maybe the duration.  I Patricia Boorman am the campaign organizer and have opened an account in my name with the sole purpose of using the money for a new or used Automobile for their family.  When enough is raised they will pick out a vehicle that will accommodate their family of 5 and if any money is left they will use it to help with the after care she will need in the future.  We have no idea
what the medical costs will be,  but today
Ryley Has been in the hospital for two months mostly in ICU,  multiple Chemo
treatments,  Surgeries with Chemo Port
and also The Brain Surgery from blood clot bleeds.

Everyone wants to know more about Ryley’s family.  Scott and Lori Stevens
have been married for 19 years.  Scott is
a plant operator with the Martin County
School District and has been Employee of
the year two or the 12 years that he’s been working there.  He is an amazing father, husband and employee.  Lori prior to having children was a Veterinarian Tech.  She also an amazing Mom and wife.  They live in Jensen Beach as the elementary there has an a Autism Program when Bryce was diognosed. There first son Bryce is 18 and is severely Autistic needing full care.  He is driven 3 times a week since the age of 3 for speech therapy as he wasn’t verbal until the age of 5,  Bryce will be dependent on his parents for life.  Ryley is the middle child and at the age of 2 1/2 was diagnosed in the Autism spectrum, but she is highly functional and was attending
school prior to falling sick with acute leukemia. Their third child is Dallas who is a bright young girl who loves art and very artistic and she is also in girl scouts.  Lori
has a full time schedule, as all three children got to different schools at different times.  Bryce has speech three times a week and dallas has girl scouts.
And now with Ryley in Palm beach Children’s hospital, both Scott and Lori are struggling now with all of the extra expenses. My Goal God Willing is to get a new or like new car.

RYLEY’S STORY
In August Ryley stared loosing weight,
having allot of bone pain, feeling sick enlarged lymph nodes and many other
problems.  For seven weeks she was been misdiagnosed  after visits to the Pediatrician, 5 ER visits and spent 3 days in another hospital.  Her diagnosis were
pulled muscles, growing pains, constipation and gastrointestinal problems.  On September 21st she again went to ER in so
much pain she was throwing up.  They
by request of mother sent her by ambulance to Palm Beach Children’s Hospital at St Mary’s.
When she got to the hospital and they read all her symptoms they call a pediatric oncologist to see her and within a few hours they were sure that she had All Acute Leukemia.
Ryley’s Mother Lori has been by her side 24/7 since she was admitted September 21st.  Her Father Scott relieves Lori on Friday after work until Saturday night, so she can go home with other two children and get a good nights sleep.  He works during  the day and after work he is driving to the Hospital most every night and he and Lori’s Mom are taking care of the other two children.
Lori and Scott are in desperate need of a reliable vehicle as they have a long road.  Ryley will need 8 months of chemotherapy treatment and Scott is driving 80 miles a day round trip.
Lori Will Continue the Story:
Our Amazingly beautiful and sweet daughter Ryley was diagnosed with A.L.L
Leukemia on September 21st.  This has been devastating and life changing for the whole family.  On September 23rd Ryley under went surgery to put a chest port in and immediately started her chemo therapy treatment.  Unfortunately two weeks into chemo therapy she suffered rare and deadly side effects.  She developed blood clots and hemorrhaging on the brain.  She under went emergency neurological surgery and then put into a medically induced coma for several days.  She still has clots and fluid on her brain which has resulted in neurological and physical deficiencies.  Through all of this the chemo therapy must continue.  She had also developed liver problems and pancreatitis.  She will begin
her second phase of chemo therapy on Thursday  the 31st.  This next phase will be 8 months of chemotherapy treatment and the 3rd and final phase of 2  1/2 years of maintenance.  Our daughter is just a shell of herself and needs your prayers.
Ryley is in the closest children’s hospital to our home. in Jensen Beach Fl.  This hospital is in palm beach county which is 40 miles one way.  My husband is driving back and forth on a daily bases in a 15 year old van with over 200,000 miles,.  The van breaks down on a regular bases and we need new tires we can’t afford repairs and are in desperate need of reliable transportation.  Please keep Ryley in your thoughts and prayers.  Thank You
Up date the old van has been serviced by
Crown Car Care owned by Todd and Tamara Harris. This was such a blessing
as it should make the trips until we get them a New Car God willing.
