Help our Auntie Return to the Philippines for Cancer Care

Ms. Rosalinda Maribbay is a beloved woman in need of your help. In March, while visiting family in Canada from the Philippines, she was diagnosed with Stage IV rectal cancer. She is currently staying in Toronto as a tourist, but urgently needs to get home to the Philippines for treatment and chemotherapy. The assistance you give can prolong her life and ease her suffering.

Our aunt is one of the rarest person we know. She is kind, believes in true love, always has hope, stays positive and never gives up. I have seen her do many acts of kindness to others around her wherever we go - as she says - a small act of kindness is never wasted. I can’t quite put this into works to describe my unselfish 67 year old auntie. She always puts others before herself, always sees the good in people no matter who they are or what they have done. She will not judge someone based on what they look like or what she has heard about them. I am grateful for our auntie. She looks out for others and gives advice to make them feel better. She always asks if everyone else is Okay. She asks what their side of the story is and she asks what their opinion is. She wants to make the world a better place and she wants everyone to get along. She would rather give than receive and is sometimes called the “Good Samaritan” or the “Rare Wise Child”. She reminds everyone how much the world can change if everyone did a simple act of kindness. She inspires hope and generosity with her actions as much as her words. She has made a tangible impact through a recent an extraordinary act of kindness. Generosity reflects a willingness to give and support others without expecting anything in return.

Having an auntie with these qualities is a blessing, and she spreads love and positivity where ever she goes. Her actions and behaviour may inspire others to be more compassionate and giving as well. It is important to appreciate and cherish individuals like our auntie who embody such positive traits.

We would truly appreciate any gift - big or small - that you can provide so that we can get her back safely to the Philippines and so she can receive chemotherapy there. She has helped others her entire life - now it is time for us to help her.
