Our beautiful boy Kye Duclos

Donation protected
Hi everyone, as a lot of you are aware, our family suffered a tragic loss on Friday February 16th when our beloved golden child Kye was taken from us. His parents Michael & Jessie and his sister Isla’s life will never be the same.
To help them navigate the next few months we have set up a go fund me page to take away the financial burden and allow them to plan a funeral and take the time they need to heal and grieve. If you are able to donate any amount to show your support it would be greatly appreciated.

Here are the details of the incident written beautifully by Michael and Jessie.

‘To all. It is my wishes to outline the details of yesterday as far as I know it to be true. Yesterday afternoon whilst walking home from school Kye was struck by a car at the lights on Police Rd Mulgrave. Whilst the facts aren't known it appears he was crossing during built up traffic and unable to see the second lane. He crossed without the green pedestrian light and was unfortunately hit by a car. An off duty MICA paramedic was on the scene from the start and was able to perform CPR and keep him alive as he went into cardiac arrest. Multiple ambulances attended and worked on him at the scene. Both Jess, myself and Isla were able to attend the scene in time and watch as the ambos worked on him and give him a kiss. He was airlifted to the Royal Children's Hospital. Dozens of emergency workers responded to him but whilst having scans to determine the extent of his head injuries he went into cardiac arrest again and unfortunately he passed away within a few minutes in our arms. Surrounded by loved ones. I want to thank everyone for their help yesterday. The love everyone had for our little man was overwhelming to see. Jess and I's wishes are to be left to our grieving for as long as it takes. We love and appreciate you all but we need to take our time to come to terms with what happened yesterday and how we even start to put our lives back together whilst missing such an important family member. Our world will never be the same, we will forever miss our beautiful boy.’
