Please Support Our Dear Friend - Connie Havens

Many people from our alma mater, Northwest High School, as well as friends in Jackson and Kalamazoo have asked how they can help our dear friend Connie. With tremendous sadness, we kindly request help with Connie’s end-of-life costs.

Our vivacious Connie has been battling cancer for the last 14 years. Countless treatments, appointments, surgeries, and procedures have taken a mammoth toll on her body despite her tenacious heart constantly pushing to recover. Her physicians have advised that she should stop further treatments and engage in Hospice care to help her to have a peaceful passing. Connie is currently at her sister’s home and is not expected to recover.

Whether in person with a second-to-none hug, on the phone with a funny story to lift your spirits, or sharing scripture and encouraging words on social media, she took pride in moving past her daily pain to bring love and joy to others. Please continue to keep Connie, Courtney, and the Havens family in your prayers. Despite the complicated and painful place she currently is in, it is without a doubt that she is still praying for all of us.

While we are doing all we can to help Connie, we are humbly asking for support to help with the mounting costs of medical bills and her funeral service. We have asked Connie’s sister Bev to administer funds as needed.
