Help us lay to rest our beautiful mother, "Conchita"

She was our sun, our light, and our everything; and on August 16, 2024, at 12:25 am, our world stopped spinning and life stopped making sense. The only thing left to feel was the emptiness she left behind. Our mother, Maria Concepcion “Conchita” Martinez tragically lost her life in a vehicle collision. Though she was the strongest person in our world, God decided it was time to take her home.

Along with the heartache that came with losing her, came the need to be strong for our father and 15-year-old sister, who were also in the vehicle that fateful night. Both of which were hospitalized and 6 days later, have thankfully been released. Conchita is survived by her mother, husband, 10 siblings, 8 children, and 4 grandchildren.

Our mother was the cornerstone of our family, she held us together through everything. She welcomed everyone into her home and cared for them with love. She taught us through her actions, to show empathy to those around us, be kind in word and deed, and to be giving in every way possible. She was caring, humble, and soft-spoken, but when she spoke, we listened; she was loved by all.

Unfortunately during this difficult time, the funeral expenses and medical bills are a heavy burden for our family and we can’t do it alone. We are asking for donations to help cover the cost of our mother’s services and burial.

We can’t thank you enough for the outpouring of love and support that our family continues to receive. Thank you to each of you and we wish God’s blessings for the road ahead.
