OUR BEAUTIFUL STARLEE

Hi Guys,

My names Tammy Taylor, Leyneaka’s mum Bec is one of my best friends. I’ve known Leyneaka all her life. Leyneaka and Starlee may not be blood related to me but I think of them both as my nieces. Myself and Leyneaka’s aunty Bevy Brooks discussed doing this go Fund Me as we would do anything to help Leyneaka and Starlee through this tough time.

We’re asking everyone to donate because for the next 2 years Leyneaka will not be able to work as she will be Starlee’s full time carer. Starlee will no longer be able to go to childcare at the risk of getting an infection.

We’re hoping the money raised will help Leyneaka with anything that Starlee needs over the next 2 years, including paying for petrol, car parking at the hospital, food and drinks at the hospital, any bills that pop up, groceries, Leyneaka’s mobile bill because her phone will be going non stop with everyone wanting updates on Starlee. I also hope that she can get Starlee some toys to try help entertain her while she’s in hospital.

4 weeks ago Starlee’s mum Leyneaka took Starlee to the Lyell McEwin hospital because Starlee was complaining of a sore tummy, they did x-rays and said that she was constipated.

 3 weeks on Leyneaka had Starlee back at the hospital as she found a lump on her neck. After more Xrays and scans they found that Starlee had lesions throughout her little body, her lungs being the worst. Starlee was rushed to the woman’s and children’s hospital where she had a biopsy and she stayed in for 4 days.

 On 11th September 2024 Leyneaka and her family got the absolutely devastating news that little Starlee who will be turning 3 in October has a rare cancer called Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH ) Starlee, Leyneaka and their family have a long and tough road ahead of them.

Starlee will no longer be able to go to childcare and Leyneaka will not be able to work while Starlee goes through her treatment. Bevy and myself talked about making this go fund me to make life a little bit easier for Leyneaka through this extremely tough time.

 A message from Leyneaka……. Today is the day that I just really feel numb, like nothing is real and it’s a bad dream. My daughter has been diagnosed with LCH a rare form of cancer. My world has been turned upside down. My poor little 2 year old doesn’t deserve this shit. The fact that this is 9 in 1 million people makes me ill. It’s a very scary process, Starlee’s lungs are her worse case and it scares the shit out of me. I just wish I could take this away from her. This isn’t fair!! 24 months of treatment for a young child to go through isn’t fair. I want her to have her normal life. Starlee starts chemotherapy next week

So Bevy and myself are asking if you can donate please do because every single bit is going to help Starlee and Leyneaka and I know that they will appreciate it very much.
