Our Beloved Edwin

We recently and unexpectedly lost our beloved Edwin, whom we lovingly called “Osito,” to heart disease, made worse by bronchopneumonia and a blocked artery.

His passing was a deep shock. None of us especially his partner were prepared for the emotional weight or the financial burden that followed so quickly.

In his memory, from now until the day of his funeral, I’ll be running 9 kilometers, three times a week.

The number 9 carries special meaning for us, it was the number of the hospital room where Edwin spent his final moments at St. George’s Hospital.

My goal is to raise funds to help cover funeral expenses, while also doing something that promotes heart health, a small way to honour what took him from us far too soon.

Every single donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference. I know times are uncertain, and I completely understand that not everyone is in a position to give.
