Our beloved mother Shelley DuPont

Shelley DuPont, born Shelley Polinski.
Animal lover, passionate and dedicated Mother, Grandma, and a clever and amazing cook. She always listened and would never make us feel bad about our life choices, just tell us what she really thought. She was so strong and did things her way, always tried to keep things simple and rarely asked for help.
She passed away recently, though we are not sure exactly when. She was found during a wellness check after no one could reach her. She was 55 years old and passed away of natural causes at home in her Michigan cabin while watching TV.
Our family is pulling together all the resources we can for travel, a cremation, and memorial service. I, Her son Sean Price, who is writing this, while my sister Amy is in Michigan doing everything she can, know that Shelley wouldn't want any charity or for our small family to be financially hurt by her passing but we don't have much to offer monetarily. We are trying to give her something with the dignity she deserves and make sure we can be together for her memorial.
What we are asking from you, our community, is to help with what you can for the inevitable final cost of the beautiful human that just moved on. I think we all can pull of travel costs enough to make it work, but its going to be tough but we are strong and frugal like Shelley taught us to be.
We have estimated the cost of these necessary steps as information is still coming in. I decided to set the "goal" at what I think will be enough to cover the basics. This is the first time Amy and myself have done this so I hope our estimation is good. We in no way want to profit from this, so any amount over the actual cost we decided will be donated to a local no kill animal shelter in Shelly's name.
Thank you for reading this and considering helping us,
Sincerely,
The Polinski, Price, DuPont family
