Hello, everyone.
Yesterday, we were faced with the difficult task of saying goodbye to our beloved Rudy. As he took his final breaths, he was surrounded by his loving son, Matthew, and his gem of a wife, Wilma.
Before finding comfort God's grace, Rudy left this world knowing that he had touched the lives of so many people around him. The impact he has left in the Parkdale Community is profound and he will continue to live in the memories of those that loved, honoured, and respected him.
Rudy adored his family more than anything and held them very close to his heart. He had immense love for his wife Wilma, his son Matthew, his daughter Rose, his parents, his siblings, his daughter-in-law Melissa, his grandkids Aidan and Ryan, and everyone else he built strong ties with.
Rudy came to Canada at a young age and was ready to face the world with strong determination. He found a career with the City of Toronto and through blood, sweat, and tears single handedly laid the foundation for one of the most successful karate programs anyone had ever seen. He also founded Arnis Canada and trained teams of highly skilled athletes to participate in world martial arts competitions. Through his solid and traditional teaching methods, many of his members (including his son) went on to dominate highly esteemed world champion titles.
From the bottom of our hearts, the Cosico family thanks all of you for reaching out to send your condolences and regale fond memories that you've had with Rudy.
We are now faced with the financial task of covering the cost of his funeral and ensuring that his wife, Wilma, will be comfortable and financially secure.
We are kindly asking for any donations to help ease the finances for our family.
