Our boy, Elmer (greatest cat)

Hello, my name is Erin and I am fundraising for our 1.5 yro cat, Elmer. He is the most wonderful soul you'd ever meet. He has been such good boy for all the vets and techs and medications taking too. Elmer has been fighting urinary tract issues. Just over the past month he had a bad UTI in Mid-February... so 10 days of meidicine, new water fountain, diet change... but it hasn't worked. As he went for Emergency bladder unblockage surgery last night (3/15/23) as he was also going in renal failure. It was fast, only 24-36 hours they said it took to come on. Procedure went well for him but definitely scared me. He stayed the night and I picked him up first thing this morning. Elmer was up and alert, rubbing the cage door to get out to see me. It was a site to see after just 6 hours!! Only troubling and concerning challenge now is that the vet could not say when this will happen again.. meaning bladder blockages that cause renal failure and then death.

That being said, we are a full time hard working family of 7 and just don't have the leg up on this financially.

I also want to add that Elmer has a twin sister, Ezmae, who would be very lost without him as would the rest of our family.

Please note the surgery alone is $5000.00, plus a few drive. The increase is in case Elmer needs to be unblocked again. It was $1000.00 last time. So please don't think we are greedy, just being smart for Elmer's sake.
