Our dad, Robert Dewhirst

Our dad, Robert, was 72 years old at his passing. He leaves behind 4 children: David of Rupert, ID, Michele of St. Helens, OR, Michael of Rupert, ID, and Dawna of Sioux Falls, SD. He had lived in Idaho for 58 years. He was an avid fisherman, welder, and lover of beer.

During the last week of March, he was having severe breathing problems. The oldest son, David, took him into the ER. After running tests, they found a mass the size of a grapefruit in his right lung. He was released to go home with the results of the biopsy and upcoming appointments. He passed away three days later on April 5, 2022, at 5 am.

We are never prepared to bury/cremate our loved ones. At this time, our family is not able to fulfill the financial obligations the funeral home has given us. They require $1,758 for the cremation alone. (We will not be requesting to see him, as this viewing causes our financial burden to be $3,800.) Along with the $1,758 we are needing to come up with another $800 for the bills he left behind. Any help is greatly appreciated!
