Our Dear Mom and Grandma fighting Stage 3 Cancer
Donation protected
Dear Family and Friends,
In April of this year our dear mom Ludmila was diagnosed with stage 3 uterine cancer (endometrioid adenocarcinoma). A month later, she had a hysterectomy, a surgical procedure that removes the uterus, as well as a couple of nearby lymph nodes that were already infected were removed. After the surgery a PET-CT scan showed the presence of remaining metastasis in Ludmila's lymphatic system, in the cervical (neck) and in the pelvic lymph nodes. This form of cancer can be very aggressive since, through the lymphatic system, it can infect any other part of the body.
After losing our dad and her beloved husband in 2009 to an accident, our mom went through difficult times of sorrow and stress, taking care of her parents until they passed and working hard to survive financially. Her favorite pastime and ministry has been to help others. Over nearly 20 years, she has been gathering and shipping humanitarian aid to orphans, widows, the disabled and others in need in our home country. Everyone who knows her can testify that she always finds a way to selflessly serve those around her - when someone is in need, our mom is trying to figure out a way to help.
Her desire and prayer is that God grants her more time on this earth to spend with her granddaughters and grandsons (I have 2 girls and my sister has 2 boys) and to continue helping the orphans, widows and disabled who are in need. Our prayer is that God grants our mom more years to spend with her grandkids, who love their grandmother so much!
In addition to her body battling cancer, Ludmila also has an autoimmune (lupus and Lyme) diagnosis and chronic liver disease. Because of this, conventional treatment options for her cancer are more limited, and she needs to go through additional treatments that are paid out of pocket.
The past 6 months have been a tumultuous time for our family. Our mom has been going through treatments that have been costing her at least $5,000 out of pocket per month and she needs to continue these and other more expensive treatments in order to have a greater chance of survival and recovery. In addition to that, she is not able to work to provide for her living expenses.
We are asking for your prayers for Ludmila, for our God to heal her body through the medical treatments and doctors she is working with so that she can continue doing the good works He has set for her to do for His Glory.
If you have the ability to help financially, we would be immensely grateful - every dollar counts and we trust that with the help of many friends and family, we can help support our mom's further treatment!
Thank you so much for your support!
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
