Our Dearest Mother and Grandmother

Greetings family and friends,

With a heavy heart, we come before you all, asking for your help to lay our dearest mother to rest. Our mother was a Compton native who moved her family to 29 Palms in search of a better life for her kids. The desert became her main stomping grounds, where she raised her children. Her joy in life was her occupation on the military base and, as most of us know, going to bingo every opportunity she had. As her children grew older, she began to venture on her own journey as well and journeyed to the desert city of Needles, California.

Here is where our mother's sickness began. Suffering from multiple illnesses, her children did the best they could to care for her needs. She eventually ended up with one of her daughters, Sarona, in Las Vegas, where she could get the care that she needed. On September 1st, 2024, at 3:30 PM, after years of doing what she could, our mom only got worse and ended up in the hospital where she took her last breath and joined her loved ones in heaven, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. This unexpected departure was something we were not prepared for as we only leaned towards a positive outcome.

With all this being said, we are reaching out to all of our family and friends, setting aside our pride, and asking for anything that could possibly help us give our Mom/Grandma a beautiful home-going memorial. Nothing is too small, and everything will be truly appreciated.
