LEJOG for charity
Donation protected
Hi, we are Aimee and Lara, and at 16, we are cycling all the way from Lands End to John O'Groats in August 2022 for two amazing charities.
The Ellen Macarthur Cancer Trust allows young people going through cancer treatment to gain support and confidence through sailing. Young people remain vulnerable after treatment as it comes at a time of rapid physical, emotional and social development. That's why for many, simply picking up where they left off before their diagnosis just isn’t possible. This is why the work of the EMC trust is so important. As a sailor, this charity is close to Lara's heart, as sailing has had such a significant impact on her life, and she wishes for others to experience something she enjoys so much.
The Truro Fencing Club Gold is a charity aimed at providing support for promising individuals who can't afford the financial commitment of competitive fencing. So often, fencing is seen as out of reach for many, but as a fencer, Aimee believes it should be an opportunity for everyone as the experiences will stay with you forever.
We will be cycling over 900miles, climbing over 50,000 feet, all in 16 days. We would really appreciate it if you would help support these charities in recognition of our cycling challenge. 100% of all donations will be split equally between both charities.
