Our family has suddenly grown. Please help!

On June 22, my brother Jonathan Eric Lewis suddenly and tragically passed away, leaving his two children, thirteen-year-old Elisha and eight-year-old Aletheia without their father. Eric had physical custody of his children, and due to his ex-wife’s illness, she is unable to take them in at this time as much as she wishes that wasn’t the case, so my husband and I have welcomed them into our home with open arms. We have always been very close to Elisha and Aletheia. They have been as much our children to us as our own, and the boys have been best friends since they were toddlers. And while the circumstances are grim, the Lord gives as well as takes, and we gladly and with love accept these two He has chosen to grace us with.

So, while we wish there was no need to ask for help, we’re at a place where we need to. My husband is the sole breadwinner in our home, and this has tightened things up considerably, and as our family has abruptly grown to five children, we have already even in this short timespan had need of a seven-seater vehicle. We are therefore asking for donations to help with a down-payment for one. We are planning to sell or trade one of the other vehicles but will need to lower our monthly payments as much as possible.
