Family Healing Home in Oregon

In the end of November our daughter saved Lee's Life. She and her brother were home alone with their dad when a series of several seizures began. She is the bravest little 8 year old and did everything she knew to help him and get help for him and protect her little brother until Emily and the paramedics arrived. Lee spent the next several days in a coma in the ICU in Redding, CA. During which time we prayed for his life and prayed our children would never be put in that situation again. It started in 2015 when Lee had an epidermal hematoma which required immediate brain surgery. He survived the surgery but brain injuries have a ton of challenges that aren't easily seen, heard, or solved, Lee's mostly being Gran Mal Seizures. These seizures have had a huge impact on our family, especially on our children Ellie and Luca. After 3 years of trying several different neurological medicines and endering multiple comas, life flights, and extended out of town hospital visits we realize we need to live where our children have more family support and Lee has closer emergency neurological medical access. Emily is from Oregon and has all her siblings and mom are there along with countless chosen family. We have been offered a clean, safe, home outside of Eugene and are prepared to move there at end of January if we can fund the move. We love where we live in California and are incredibly thankful for the community we are a part of here.  Our children have been beyond brave and Lee and Emily will proud to know they can get more family support in Oregon.
