Our favorite OLR teacher, Miss Tucker!

For those of us who have had the privilege of meeting Miss Annie Tucker, this group is for you. I am Kevin O'Brien and had the privilege of having her as my 3rd-grade teacher. I have kept in contact with her over the years, going to her condo in Bronxville for lunch or a cup of tea. She is 84, STILL rides a bike daily(weather permitting), and still babysits. I didn't know until last night, however, how dire her financial status is. She divorced in the 1970s when it was taboo. Her teacher's pension is small. Whatever income she gets, pays for her maintenance fees, utility bills, etc. She does not have any disposable income. So here is my proposal: we raise money for her in some capacity, and 3 or 4 months down the road, have a party, and present to her whatever we have collected. Invite fellow OLR alumni, parents, and friends, that know her. Miss Tucker went above and beyond her responsibilities when we were kids. She was the best teacher at OLR. Hands down. She bought pizza for us with her own money. Brought us to parks to run around. Let's show her OUR appreciation for her. Whenever one of us is ever down, there is always a hand from the past there to help us up. She always helped us. Let's help her now. Give me ideas on how to maximize the reach of this group. She is not on social media. No one mentions anything about this to her. And we help her. Plain and simple. Who is with me?
