Our friend Karen needs some help.

Hello,

As many of you know by now our Friend Karen Schuler has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Karen has begun treatment at The Cross Cancer Institute and is in for the fight of her life. Those who know Karen know she is fiercely independent and does not like to ask for help. So we have set up this GO FUND ME for her to offset the costs associated with treatment and to help her cover any unexpected expenses with regards to her 3 horses, and 2 dogs. Any donations would be greatly appreciated even $10.00. Let's help Karen right now while she can't work and battles aggressive cancer.

Below are Karen’s words and description of what’s happening:

”I have 2 kinds of cancer. We didn't find it fast enough & it spread not only into lymph nodes but also into my blood cells & settled into the rib bone & the doctor calls it "incurable cancer" now. They say I have an 80-90% chance of living 3-5 years with maintenance chemo to shrink the tumours I already have & "mop up the floaters" in my blood that want to latch on to other organs. Scans every 3 months to see how treatments are working, but says my "good health" will work to my advantage & I should "do well" going forward. All I know its absolutely crazy how fast your world gets flipped upside down I see the world with different eyes now but I have a bucket list dammit! Maybe I'll feel liberated from the burdens of life? Its been hard surviving alone all these years but I have had a KICKASS COOL LIFE & I AM NOT GIVING UP YET my friends! I just might try to have a little more fun & a little less worry.
