Help for Steve battling Plasma Cell Leukemia and M

We are Impact Controls Installation, a small building automation controls installation contractor in Utah. We are raising funds for our friend and fearless leader, Steve Larsen, who was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma and Plasma Cell Leukemia after a visit to the emergency room on November 5, 2023. Steve was immediately sent to Huntsman Cancer Institute and Hospital to begin the long battle to save his life.

Myeloma is a relatively rare blood cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow. Although myeloma is incurable, treatment goals aim at slowing progression and providing long term remission. Steve has begun aggressive chemotherapy which will destroy the myeloma cells in the bone marrow, followed by a stem cell transplantation. Healthy stem cells removed before high-dose chemotherapy are stored until they can be re-infused. In time, the transplanted stem cells will begin to produce healthy blood cells, replacing the ones destroyed by treatment.

These processes require lengthy hospitalizations followed with extended aftercare.

Everyone who knows Steve, loves Steve. He is a kind, generous, hard-working guy who would do anything for his family, friends, crew and co-workers. We are asking for your financial support for Steve, his wife Julie, and his four adorable children Conner (11), Zoey (9), Ruben (7) and Ledger (4).

Please make a donation!! (any amount will help) with confidence that all money received will be spent wisely on Steve's personal and medical expenses. He will be unable to work outside for quite some time and will be at high risk for infections and other possible complications. As he continues to fight against this disease, the bills will keep rolling in for him and his family. There are many stressors that go along with a cancer diagnosis.
