Dear family and friends -
I am not sure how to start this...It doesn't seem right to go into detail of the struggles and stresses we have dealt with since Rami's diagnosis. It doesn't seem right to highlight these negatives when there has also been so many positives. For at every rough turn and low moment we have been met by family and friends pouring out love and support and generosity. We could not be getting through this without all the encouragement and help with the baby and meals and loving concern - it is something we will treasure, to have seen in a dark time how abundantly we are blessed. Therefore it seems doubly not right to now be asking for more...
And yet, it seems we must.
In a week's time we will be travelling to Mayo Clinic for surgery. We ask for everyone's continued prayers and heartfelt thoughts as we set out on this journey toward healing, as well as any possible financial contributions. I have set the goal for what we need to cover our travel expenses, household bills while Rami is in recovery, and medical bills already incurred. Any money we receive beyond this will go to the surgical bill which at this time is not known but will be substantial.
We thank you all for keeping us in your minds and hearts.
