Our Hero Gale

Hi my name is Monica, and my bestie has been given a tough year of trials and tribulations and I am asking for some help on her behalf.

Things started to change for Gale about a year ago, when I watched her health deteriorate on a daily basis. Her abdomin seemed to get bigger hour by hour and her breathing and mobility became more difficulty. Now to say Gale doesn't like going to the Doctor would be an understatement, but with pressure from family and friends she did go - to be told that she had an abdominal tumor that she needed to get out. So she underwent surgery and they removed a tumor in excess of 50lbs -wow talk about not the way you want to lose weight!! Of course tissue was sent for biopsy and it came back as cancerous but in the early stages. Chemo started and all the challenges that came with it - and she ran out of sick time at work! Then she got Covid and spent a week in the hospital. This girl just couldn't seem to catch a break!

Then the ultimate disaster struck, he only son Evan was in a major car accident and a week late succumbed to his injuries and left her a childless parent. Evan was her only child, a single mom who raised him on her own, she was devastated, her world was shattered. While dealing with her grief she had to continue to undergo treatment for her cancer.

Then the unimaginable happened - the company that she worked for let her go - when they knew in 60 days she was planning to retire and take her early retirement. Wow, talk about lack of compassion!!!! I am ashamed and in told disbelief that an organization could be so unfeeling! So now Gale had no health insurance.

Gale returns to the hospital on a weekly basis to remove fluid that is building up due to the cancer, and without chemo the prognosis is not good. She has told me "I am just so tired of being sick"

I am in awe that Gale is still fighting - the last year has kicked her in the teeth over and over again! She has been given a burden that no one should have to carry on her own. That is why I started this go fund me. So that we could all dig deep and restore our faith in eachother - that we do care, that we are kind, that their is more than our own world. I ask that you would feel inclined to help my friend cover her chemo and living expenses until her Medicare benefits kick in in September. There by the grace of God go we!! Let's band together to wrap Gale in healing love and show her she is not alone!
