Our Hugo needs help with Medication and Physiotherapy

Having spoken to the vets we are relieved that Hugo has been slowly responding to the current form of steroids and medication and is gradually gaining slight mobility in his lower legs. This means that if he continues then surgery will be looking less likely, instead he will need a strong course of medication and steroids as well as physiotherapy which is also costly. All money raised will now go towards these vet costs.

Hello everyone, We are Adam and Rachel and we have two beautiful Dalmatians called Dottie and Hugo and they are our two precious babies.

Unfortunately Hugo has somehow managed to slip and fall in a freak accident which has caused him to have multiple slipped discs in his vertebra/ spine. This has left him in incredible pain and temporary paralysis in his lower legs.

We are absolutely devastated and he is currently at the vets as they try to use steroids to help though it is looking very likely he will need surgery to help get him on his paws and back to being our beloved Hugo.

The cost of this surgery is very high (priced at £9-10k) and his current insurance is unable to cover the cost, so we are having to ask for much needed financial help to help us save our baby boy.

The vets have informed us that if we are unable to go ahead with the surgery and he doesn't improve the only other solution is to put our sweet boy to sleep. We are heartbroken at the prospect of this as Hugo is a fun loving, energetic boy who is only 8 years old and loves long runs in the park and cuddles at night on the sofa.

Please if you are able to spare any amount to help towards the cost of this surgery we will be extremely grateful. We know everyone may be struggling and it is just after Christmas though any amount will be appreciated as we just want to get our Hugo back home and running in the park again.

100% of the funds will go to the cost of the surgery and we will keep you posted on his current situation and if the surgery goes ahead his hopeful recovery.
