Our Infertility Journey Praying for baby C

Donation protected
For those of you who don’t know, Jason and I have been going through a lot these past two and a half years, struggling with infertility. From the day we got married we talked about starting a family. We wanted and want nothing more. Little did we know almost 3 years ago, that our journey would not look like most. One thing many may take for granted is assuming “you get married and then have babies”. Unfortunately it just doesn’t work out that easy for some. We never planned for this.

We have experienced two very difficult miscarriages; physically and emotionally. We have had so much testing done. I’ve had numerous amounts of blood work and procedures. After all of this, we are still left with no real answers. Which has been a blessing as nothing serious was wrong; yet here we were/are left with little answers and no solid direction.

Recently we started seeing a fertility clinic to get more guidance. They did find a small polyp in my uterus, which they actually believe to have developed more recently, so they are unsure if this has something or anything to do with the miscarriages , as my symptoms of this have developed recently. But.. according to my doctor, removing it would increase our chances.

Unfortunately anything related to infertility and treatments, are not covered by insurance. This surgery is $6500 out of pocket. We already owe $2000 after 3 months with the clinic. This is difficult for us to do, and we never like to ask for help, but as we are also building our first home… we are struggling financially to support both. If we were younger or earlier in our journey, we wouldn’t be trying to do these at the same time… but fortunately /unfortunately we were blessed with the news we could start our new home now… or we would be waiting for a while. And as we’re both going on 32 years old, and already have been trying for almost 3 years, we can’t afford to wait on these future steps for our family either.

Our next steps involve me getting this procedure to remove the polyp, and then IUI treatments to follow . These cost $1000-$2000 each. We will be allowed up to 5 of these and if unsuccessful move on to the last option which is IVF. This will cost up to $20,000 or more. We are of course praying to have success before IVF would be needed.

Again, we are never ones to ask for help especially financially, as we are such hard workers in life, but at this point we feel we have no other option in order to have our dream fulfilled of becoming parents. We are so blessed in life to have such wonderful loving supportive family and friends who have been there for us every step of this journey ,and every day we thank god ;especially for having each other. Above all of this we just want to share this love with a baby. We continue to pray every day continuously and that will not change.

Any amount toward this would be more appreciated than you know , and we hope you know how blessed we feel to have you all in our lives.
