Our Inspiring Imogen

Hi, my name is Danny Winn

I am a proud father of 2 and a proud uncle of 8. I love them all very much, and they are all unique in their perfect ways.

On 1st September 2020, our beautiful little niece Imogen, who was one year old, was rushed to the hospital after a seizure. What was to follow was frightening, devastating and profoundly upsetting, all rolled into one. Imogen was sadly diagnosed with a rare brain tumour.

The uselessness we felt witnessing the next 18 months was utterly heart-wrenching. Imogen underwent so many surgeries that I have lost count; there was so much of this "one step forwards, two steps back" theme, even up until recently.

This little girl is a fighter, but unfortunately, Imogen still has many more battles to fight, as do her mum, dad and siblings.

We want to help so much, but what can you do to make a genuinely positive, meaningful difference apart from the little apparent things?

I know the family home will need some adaptions to help assist Imogen and the family. Luckily, Imogen's father is extremely good at DIY. Still, if we could help cover some of their costs towards the materials needed, I am sure that would be a vast welcoming and significant positive.

I can't shave my hair off to raise funds as I don't have any (unless back hair is acceptable). And I am far too chicken to jump out of a plane or bungee jump. So after much deliberation on what I could attempt to do for our inspiring and brave girl Imogen........

We have a decent idea of how tough it will be and a fear of failure, but the truth is, even if we somehow complete this gruelling challenge, it will be genuinely nothing compared to Imogen's challenges.
