“IT LOOKS LIKE CANCER.”

Those words, I will never forget.  2 years ago in 2017, I was diagnosed with a rare form of aggressive cancer called Cholangiocarcinoma.  I had a liver resection and then did 6 months adjuvant chemotherapy which I finished in July of 2018.

Throughout the year, I had many trips to the hospital with severe nausea, diarrhea and abdominal pain.  They would run bloodwork, and scans and never would find anything, but I knew something was wrong.  I knew they had to go IN to figure out what was going on as no test was going to pull it up.  This seemed to happen every 3 months.  I would be admitted for a couple days to a week each time.  They would get my symtpoms under control and I would go home.

On October 15th 2019, those words I heard....again.  It was back full force and I was sitting at stage 4 as it had metastisized from the liver to the ovaries.  Not one but both ovaries were affected.  I had to spend the next couple weeks in the hospital as my condition got worse and worse.  I decreased drastically.  I lost function of my body when it came to being able to pass a bowel or urinate.  I then ended up in a severe pain crisis and got put onto the emergency surgery list.  I had my surgery on October 27th.  I got a hysterecomy with a bilateral-oopherectomy, which in turn put me into menopause.  I will have to be on hormone treatment from now on.  I was discharged on october 31st.  Healing takes 6-8 weeks.  We are getting a PET scan done on November 14th which will help to determine where and if there is more cancer hidden within me.  I will be doing chemo again also.  I am also looking into another form of treatment that is not covered and will cost about 600$ for a full course of treatment, but it is known to have cured cancer!  I want to do this as last time, I did the most aggressive form of chemo to prevent this from happening, and well, we can see how aggressive and fast acting this beast is.  I want to try and do everything I can to fight this!!!!

While going through all this, I am also dealing with some personal issues and this will require trips to and from Toronto also.

With all this going on, finances are tight with travelling back and forth to the hospitals, parking, appointments, bills, maintaining a healthy liver and cancer friendly diet and trying to be a single mom.  I don't normally ask for help, but I know I need to.  If you are able to help financially thank you but PLEASE DON'T FEEL OBLIGATED!!  Every prayer helps, every blessing helps, all your love helps!!!!  I am forever grateful to each and every one of you for everything you have done and continue to do!!!

Thank you in advance and may God bless you all!!!
