Dawna Jicha - Final Expenses
Donation protected
On Tuesday, November 29th, my wife, Dawna, checked into the hospital for a routine hysterectomy for a large uterine fibroid. What they found was not a fibroid, it was actually a tumor. She has leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. She underwent a second surgery on Friday, December 2nd, an exploratory laparotomy, where the attending oncologist removed her ovaries, cervix, and checked nearby organs. Chemotherapy will be starting in 4-6 weeks, once her incisions are healed and a port can be safely placed. The upcoming new year means a new deductible and out of pocket maximum, which we will most likely need to meet immediately in January to start her treatment. We are asking for all the help we can get; monetarily, emotionally and educationally. As many of you know, Dawna has been in remission from 3C Melanoma for over 10 years, so you can imagine how scary being diagnosed with a completely different, yet just as aggressive cancer is for her. She’s beat the odds before and she will do it again with our help! Please donate if you can and reach out to us with any other resources you’re aware of. We appreciate you all!
