Our lovely Shannon Hauxwell

As you all know, our lovely Shannon Hauxwell has recently been given some devastating news which as a community has touched us all in some way. Her attitude and resilience towards her diagnosis has been nothing short of admirable and her strength daily is something that I think we could all take a lesson from.

Anyone who knows Shannon, knows she is the most loving, hardworking, friendly and down to earth person there is, she consistently goes above and beyond for her friends, family, the little ones and anyone in need of a helping hand.

As a result, Myself and Glen Neilson alongside anyone else who wishes to join in, the more the merrier! Will be walking the full length of the Coast to Coast on the 27th April, 192 long miles and finishing at Robin Hoods Bay.

This will be a challenge in itself, but nothing in comparison to what people with cancer face throughout their treatment journey, on average every 90 seconds at least one person in the UK is diagnosed with cancer, from babies and children to the elderly. I’m sure we all know someone who has had to tackle this cruel disease head on.

We welcome all donations in the form of sponsorships big or small to help give something back to someone who has done so much for so many. All funds raised will go directly to Shannon and her family to plan something nice for after her Chemotherapy treatment.
