Our loving mother Evelyn Rodriguez
Donation protected
Just writing this is so hard. My mother Evelyn is my inspiration. She raised my brother and I in one of the most expensive cities, Miami Fl. practically by herself. She worked in medical facilities or hospitals, some that were far, to make ends meet. Yet she still managed to take us to school every morning, pick us up, help with homework and make sure we had food on the table. She didn't drive a brand new car, she didn't wear brand name clothes, she wasn't flashy. All she wanted was her kids to get their education and succeed in life. Family was always first to her.
Mom finally retired in 2022 with dreams to finally relax and unwind and enjoy her time. During the last year she was having horrible headaches. So bad she just wanted to lay in bed all day. In September of 2023, she went to see her neurologist again, in hopes of getting help. He recommended a quick procedure he's performed before that should give her temporary headache pain relief until he can find the root cause of the headaches. Unfortunately, her body rejected it and caused a cardiac arrest. She never recovered from it. After 3 months of fighting she passed away.
Our mother is NOT a quitter, she never was. She was tired and as much as we wish we could've taken her pain away, we couldn't. She never got to enjoy her retirement. She lived to work and raise my brother and I, and for that, we are forever grateful.
We weren't planning for such an early burial of our precious mother, this hurts so bad! Donations are not expected but greatly appreciated. All donations will go towards legal fees to retain the home she worked so hard to maintain, medical expenses for these horrible 3 months she was in the hospital and a headstone for my beautiful mother to commemorate her life.
We ask that you please keep our mother and family in your prayers.
