Support for Mikey's son, Ryott

Donation protected
On Sunday, May 19th, 2024 heaven gained an angel. Our beloved Michael Robert Lynham tragically passed away from a drug overdose at the age of 31. He did not let his battles define him, even in his darkest of days, he refused to stop smiling. He was truly a force to be reckoned with and touched the lives of literally every person he crossed passed with, undoubtedly leaving a lasting impression. He was a bright light and full of hope, love, compassion and selflessness. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone, whether he knew them or not.

We were blessed to spend 31 years with him and although his life was cut far too short, he left us with one of our biggest blessings, a beautiful son, Ryott. Mikey lived for his son. We would spend many nights talking about Ryott and Mike would always express a deep desire to get better and healthier for his son. Ryott was the driving force behind his sobriety. However, addiction is never black and white. As one big family, we all tried to help Mike. He fought a hard fight himself but, in the end, the addiction was too strong. Addiction may have won this battle, but we will not let it define our Mikey. From here on out, we acknowledge the cause of his passing but control the narrative. He was the most loving, passionate, generous, selfless, caring, talented person I have ever met. Mike was too big for this world, and he’s finally found his peace. He did everything at full-tilt and loved sports, gardening, music, building things, fixing things, and helping people and animals. Above all, he loved spending time with his son Ryott (age 3). I can’t begin to describe the love my brother had for his son. The way Mike looked at Ryott… you could feel the love from a mile away. The two of them were two peas in a pod- they were always playing around, cuddling on the couch, and laughing. Mike would do anything just to see him smile.

One of the last conversations I had with Mike, he shared a desire to see everyone unite and hoped for a future that wasn’t so dark. He may not be here physically, but we want to see his dream become a reality. As we mourn the tragic loss of our son, brother, friend, we want to honor his life and make sure Ryott knows how loved he was and will always be. Your donations, big or small, will be used to help Ryott with any immediate and future needs. For those asking, all donations will be kept under mine and Zack’s name’s and used as needed as a gift from Mike.

An excerpt from a poem Mike wrote Ryott dated August 19th, 2023.
"Little boy, you'll be on your own soon
Don't you worry now, I'll be waiting... for you.
Times are tough, this world is mean
But you're the best little boy I've ever seen
And I'm so proud of you."

Rest easy, Mike. We love you.
