Our moms funeral in JA

Hello everyone,

On Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, my brothers and I suddenly lost our mother, Linda Lawrence. She was the glue that kept our family unit together, always ever present, even when 3 of her sons were here in Canada. Shaquille, Keyshawn and I are in the preliminary stages of planning her funeral in Jamaica alongside our siblings (2 brothers and a sister) in Jamaica.

Due to her unexpected death, and myself (Machel) just buying a house, the costs of her funeral are out of our reach unfortunately without the help of our community here in Canada. We are doing our best to put together the money that we can, however, at this time, we are requesting donations from our friends and family here in Canada to help with the rest of the funeral arrangements.

This is a sobering time for all of us, and creating this go fund me was not an easy decision for any of us. However, if we want to celebrate my mother, this was the only way.

My mother was selfless, resilient, extremely rooted in her faith and had a deep love for her family. She deserves to be celebrated, and with your help, we can give her a proper send-off in Jamaica.

We want to extend our most heartfelt thanks to you all. We have received so many messages, meals, phone calls, and check-ins and we are eternally grateful. Any donation big or small means the world to us.
