Our mother, Lisa McMullin

Update: Now that I have had a chance to talk to certain people and have a better idea of what expenses we are facing, I have decided to update our fundraiser. We truly appreciate your kindness thus far and I know my mother would be overwhelmed with joy.

This is probably the toughest thing I've ever had to do, as you can imagine. I'm not the kind of person to ask for help but right now it's not for me, it's for my mom.

After a 2 week stay at the hospital for intestinal issues, the day she was supposed to be released, they found her unresponsive and needed to rush her into emergency surgery. Unfortunately, she didn't make it into surgery, as her colon ruptured. My younger brother and I had to make some really tough, rushed decisions yesterday. From funeral experiences to the moving fees of packing her home and storing it. We have had an outstanding number of people asking me what we need, and I think this is it. Someone told me "let them help you" and I think I need to, for my mom. I know its the holidays and it has already been so tough on everyone so if you can't help,Please just keep us in your thoughts as we try to navigate this tough time. These are the types of things that I always knew who to call for help and guidance, but now I'm not sure who to call.
