Our Resident Aunt Fanny's Cat

Hello, I'm Ness, owner of Aunt Fanny's Farm Shop & Cafe in Wimborne. As many of you will know, I am a huge animal lover and have rescued many dogs over the years including my own fifteen. I also fund raise and donate regularly to Staffie & Stray Rescue in Kinson.

A few years ago, a stray cat arrived on our doorstep and she soon became part of the Aunt Fanny's crew - happy to live outside in her own space, she is a little wild and feral! Early last year she had two kittens, so we built them a lovely little house outside and keep them looked after and fed, but very much happy to live a feral life.

Sadly, on Monday 14th August, one of the younger cats was run over on Cranborne Road and has been taken to Parley Vets for urgent medical care. He's a bright eyed thing and not ready to give up so I am raising funds for his treatment which includes overnight hospital stays, x-rays, medication and surgery to repair his two broken and damaged legs. I can't bear to put him to sleep when he still has so much life ahead of him - he's only 16 months old.

He is being treated at Parley Vets who have been brilliant and are looking after him, keeping him calm and pain free and ready for surgery to repair his broken legs. Already I've spent £1,000 on his treatment and as he is feral, he isn't insured. I'm paying towards his fees myself and will be looking after him - he's going to need two months recovery and will become a house cat.
