Our sister in Christ, Ann Napier's cancer bills

Ann Napier is a beloved wife, a mother of two young children and an active member of the Abilene SDA Church.
On August 15th, 2022, she received the news no one wants to receive: advanced breast cancer. Further testing and plans for her treatment were immediately set up. In addition to the emotional stress, this diagnosis is a huge stressor for the Napier family.
The cancer diagnosis happened between health care coverage, which means bills are piling up.
In order to qualify for breast cancer Medicaid, Craig had to significantly reduce his work hours and, consequently, the family's monthly income ($1000 pay cut, to be exact).
I have set up this fundraiser in order to help the Napiers pay their medical bills and assist them in their monthly family expenses. Any help will be welcome and helping them get through this challenge successfully.
If you want to know more about their diagnosis story, scroll down to read Ann's story. More updates will follow. Thank you!
In her words:
"I have been working full-time from the day I became a nurse and after our second child in June 2021 I was just tired and needed some time with the children. My daughter was beginning kindergarten and Leo was then 2 months old. Craig had just finished LVN school and got a fairly decent job at Haskell Prison. We had a very good insurance. We both decided that I would go per diem at the hospital at least for a year so we could have someone in the home to take care of the children. Craig reported he was having difficulty keeping his eyes on the road driving back home in the mornings and has had many near misses. His dad in Jamaica would call him in the mornings to talk to him while he drives home but even that stopped helping. He was just too tired and was falling asleep at the steering.
He ran off the road one morning and decided he wouldn't tell me but he did and we decided he had to find a job closer home.
In June 2022 he finally decided that we would find something closer to home and he did. He got a full-time position at Silver springs nursing home in July. He now works approximately 7 minutes away from home but we lost our insurance. It was later that same month I felt a lump in my right breast and had it checked only to be told on August 15 that I had breast cancer. What great timing. I wondered many times whether we made the right decision to change his job because of the insurance and I realized he probably would have had a wreck one of these mornings and died leaving us and so I believe we made the right decision. We were offered financial assistance program one of which was breast cancer Medicaid which would cover 100% of my care and I was too confident we would qualify. I hadn't brought in a paycheck in almost 2 months because I was frequently being called off due to low census at work on numerous occasions. The longest I remember was being called off 6 times in a row. The only explanation was that the patient count was low and I was the first one to be called off. And so I was sure we would qualify for the Medicaid only to be told we make $1000 too much and so we do not qualify. I couldn't believe it but we were told if anything changes with Craig's income we could reapply. We are not even a month in since diagnosis and our bill has already gone over $30k, just appointments and scans. I haven't started chemo which I am expected to start soon, nor have I done surgery and reconstruction as yet. We are already in debt as it is and this disease have us drowning even more. We have decided as a family that Craig who is in also in school full-time should cut back his hours by going per diem and to see if we could get under $1000 (which WILL be a major sacrifice), just to see if we could qualify for this Medicaid. We believe God is more than able and willing to do exceedingly abundantly above all we can ask or imagine. We will provide frequent updates especially when we are able to reapply for medicaid. Thank you all for your kindness. It will never be forgotten."
