Our Sister, Our Best Friend ❤️

Jan 31st she went to the hospital, something just wasn’t right!! Feb 19th we received the dreaded news, CANCER.. As many know, our family has gone for a ride on this roller coaster once already when our Mom battled Stage III Breast Cancer. Initially we thought it was just Stage II Cervical Cancer, then it was time for the PET Scan.. March 12th we found out the lymph node in her clavicle on her left side is cancerous. This now changed prognosis to Stage IV. She has gone through a whirlwind of emotions over the course of the past month and a half!! She has other lymph nodes also cancerous (which are common ones considering her type of cancer). She has been battling blood clots in her legs and lungs.. Numerous scripts and doctors appointments and the tough stuff hasn’t even begun. March 20th she had the procedure to have her port put in.. Today, March 22, 2018, my sister, one of my best friends, starts her first round of CHEMO. In a very short time, she will loose all her hair, she will fight to keep food down, she will fight to get out of bed each day. She will dig deep to find all her strength just to preform daily activities. Life as she knows it will become harder than ever. She has 4 kids who spread her thin and keep her extremely busy. Her every day task, just simply driving them to school, is going to be hard, some days impossible for her. While she has a job she absolutely LOVES and works with and for some of the best people TN has offer, she isn’t going to be able to work many days over the next 4.5 months!! Doug is working every hour he can to pay the bills and make ends meet. With 4 kids, 2 cars and 3 dogs.. you can imagine the bills NEVER stop rolling in. Add her condition to the mix and it seems impossible to stay ahead. The last thing I want her worrying about right now is how she is going to make ends meet. How she is going to feed the kids, pay rent, pay electric, insurance, cars, prescriptions, etc.. I want her to be able to fully devote her attention to KICKING CANCERS ASS!! Give it her all. I know everyone has their own battles they are facing, I ask if anyone can give or help in any way, I beg you do. My sister is extremely bullheaded and stubborn, she isn’t going to ask for help or a hand out.. But I, I am begging for any and all help!! If anyone wants to send words of encouragement or help in any other way, reach out to me on FB and I can get you her address or whatever info you might need! Thank you all for reading, please continue to lift her and her family in your prayers. She needs it now more than ever. She has a long road ahead, but cancer picked on the wrong one this time!! She’s as mean as they come, she’s got this!!
