Our sister's house destroyed by fire.

Our sister, Iris, lost 98% of her earthly possessions in a house fire on Thursday, November 2. Her sweet little kitty woke her up at 6:30 am as usual. Coming back from the bathroom, Iris saw in her peripheral vision a bright orange light. Intrigued, she looked closer and saw that the orange light was also outside her front door and dining room window. She knew not only that her house was on fire, but that she was going to have to drop from her bedroom window that was 15 feet off the ground.

While Iris escaped with her life, her two little cats perished in the fire*. Because we had insurance, everything, except Iris’s personal possessions*, will be rebuilt and replaced. When I asked if she wanted her siblings to set up a GoFundMe page, she immediately thought of those she serves through her ministry, The Giving Corner.

If you would like to give a monetary gift, she will purchase the following items for those without a home she serves every day:

Adult toboggins and gloves, military sleeping bags, toothbrushes/paste, dental floss, mouth wash, deodorant, ChapStick, white cotton socks and t-shirts (medium, large, and extra-large), thermal underwear, rain boots, and waterproof coats and jackets. Also, quart-sized zip lock bags.*
