Our son needs surgery! Please help!

Y'all have no idea how hard this is for me to ask others for help, but our boy desperately needs it!

Hello everyone, my name is Karen Dove Williams and I have started this fundraiser for our son, Justin.

A couple of weeks ago Justin went to the dentist for a routine checkup and teeth cleaning. At this appointment, it was discovered that all of his wisdom teeth have decayed in their sockets, underneath the skin. This has developed into a cancerous infection which has spread to ALL of his teeth, again, under the skin in the gum line and in their sockets.

The doctor determined that Justin, at only the age of 21, will have to have all of his teeth surgically removed. He said that he is very fortunate that the infection has not spread to his brain. For this, we are so very thankful!

We had a surgery consult Thursday, August 25th, 2022 where it was determined that he will need at least two surgeries. Followed by several other appointments for fittings, medical treatment and all that that entails. He will be out of work for an extensive period of time for treatment and to recover.

We were told by the oral surgeon that we have to pay $6,000.00 up front for the first surgery and $6,000.00 up front for the second surgery. This does NOT include hospitalization, the anesthesiologist, dentures/dental implants, treatment for the infection or anything else. This is just what we have to pay up front before they will even begin treatment!

What started as a routine visit has turned into an absolute nightmare for my precious child and our family. We feel lost, anxious, scared and are trying to figure out how to help him.

He has to have this done quickly to prevent the infection from spreading to his brain and other parts of his body. He is in a lot of pain and has developed knots along his jawline and all the lymph nodes in his neck are swollen. Time is of the essence.
