Our Stubborn Friend, Kenny Phillips needs help!
Donation protected
My name is Tiffany Grigory and I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of a beloved Tonopah local, Kenny "Bean" Phillips.
This all started back in August of 2023 when Kenny found out that he had a damaged heart valve. Following his emergency heart valve surgery he had 5 months of recovery.
Then in February 2024, while on the job and driving a company truck, he blacked out and lost control of his vehicle. Not only was his work truck and loaded trailer wrecked, he had no recollection of the accident or even what preceded the accident. Thankfully Kenny survived and no other vehicles were involved in the accident. But what has followed has truly been insult to injury.
After being transported to Reno and he found out that he had two fractured vertebrates in his back. The medical professionals that treated him could not identify the cause of his black out and basically had no answers as to how or why this happened. Their (the medical professionals) subsequent actions following this "non-diagnosis" is the insult to injury. They told him that he could no longer drive and sent him a letter stating so. He was then let go from his job because his job was to drive. He was also told that the company's insurance would not cover any of his medical expenses.
Kenny is technically a senior citizen and absolutely on a fixed income. All of these recent medical bills have become overwhelming.
He would like to let all of his friends and family know that he is thankful for all of their support and contributions that might help him pay these outlandish bills.
In addition to funds, expertise is also in need! If anyone knows of programs to help reduce medical bills or what steps he can take to get back to work, please reach out to him!
Please note: Any funds donated through this channel will go directly to Kenny, straight into his account. If you know Kenny, then you KNOW how much he avoids technology! That's why I'm writing this for him. Also, if you know him, you also know just how stubborn he is. The fact that he has acknowledged his need for help and is reaching out for help says a lot for his situation.
