Our Super Hero Bartholomew

On Saturday October 12th we received some really difficult news. News no one can really ever prepare you for. Raymond and Bethany took Barry to their pediatrician for a fever he had off and on. During the exam the Dr felt a mass in his abdomen. He was then sent immediately to Akron Children’s hospital to determine what the mass was. After a multitude of tests it was discovered that he has cancer. That dreaded awful word that no one wants to hear. Our little Barry has neuroblastoma. He is scheduled for a special test this week to determine if the cancer has spread anywhere outside of the mass in the abdomen. Then the following week he will have surgery to remove the mass. (October 23rd.) Once the mass is removed and the cancer has a stage they will determine if he needs chemotherapy or further treatment. 
These next few weeks will be especially difficult. Raymond and Bethany will need to be with him everyday. They both work full time but neither one of their jobs offer vacation time or PTO. Please consider donating to help them during this difficult time. They are also asking for prayers for Barry and to help make them stay strong for Barry.
