Our Surrogate Baby

Welcome to our story:
My name is Sarah Giesbrecht and my husband's name is Jacob. We have been together for 6 years and married for a bit over a year now.
At the age of 18 I was diagnosed with MRKH syndrome or Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome. It is a condition that causes women to be born without a uterus. This condition affects 1 out of 5000 women worldwide. The diagnosis was devastating for us and meant we could never have children of our own. Nothing medically could change the fact that for us, pregnancy would not be possible. In order for us to have a child we have decided on surrogacy. ( We will be doing gestational surrogacy)where our DNA gets fertilized and put into the surrogate mother and she carries the baby to term). In order to use surrogacy as an option I will have to go through fertility treatments. Each fertility treatment costs approximately $9500. We are hoping to raise enough funds to help us with the necessary fertility treatments. We are very grateful for the potential to be able to have our own biological child.
