Please Help Our Sweet Autumn

Hello, if you don’t know me my name is Kyla. I have a two year old cat who has been suffering with Stomatitis since she was 4 months old.

Feline Stomatitis is a complex, painful, and frustrating disease that causes severe inflammation of the entire mouth, including the gum tissue and mucous membranes.

Due to this severely painful disease, Autumn has been refusing to eat and her quality of life is decreasing. She is often yelping in pain and runs to hide when yawning, eating or playing. It is heartbreaking to watch this sweet girl go through this pain.

We have tried different medications over the last year to help reduce the pain & impact the stomatitis is causing. Over the last few months dispensing the medication has been very difficult as she is refusing to eat or take the oral medication. Without treatment Stomatitis can cause bone loss and other sever issues.

We love our sweet girl dearly and can not fathom losing her.

The ultimate solution to Stomatitis is to remove her teeth. Since feline stomatitis is an inappropriate immune response to the bacteria that lives on a cat’s teeth, they must remove the structures the bacteria attach to, the teeth, before the signs can resolve. Surgical extraction is the first and most effective treatment to decrease her oral inflammation. This procedure can cost up to $5,000.
