Burke, a Therapy dog for healthcare workers!
Donation protected
Burke is a 5.5 year old Bernese Mountain Dog who volunteers as a therapy/emotional support dog for our incredible healthcare heroes in the critical care units at Vancouver General Hospital (Burns, Trauma, High Acuity, ICU, CSICU and Emergency).
Burke is also a blood donor dog, where he regularly donates blood to other dogs in need.
It is with sunken hearts we have heard this sweet boy is sick and struggling with possible kidney failure along with a herniated disk. He is not well, and is requiring multiple tests and imaging, along with medication and observation.
On behalf of the healthcare workers who rely so much on the love of this sweet boy, we are respectfully requesting financial help to cover the emergency and continued medical costs in hopes of a quick recovery and to get him back to work in the hospital.
Every donation counts, so please spare anything you can to help this furry healthcare hero, who makes such an incredible impact on the lives of our healthcare workers.

In honour and respect, we thank you.
