Our Sweet Tootsie Needs Emergency Surgery

ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING HELPS!!
Friday night (1/23), my brother's sweet baby, Tootsie, was suddenly struck by a vehicle on Linton Hill Road in Newtown after she was triggered by the sound of a dog's bark from a neighboring property. This is extremely out of character for her to run from my brother Taylor's side; but absolutely nothing could have prepared him, or any of us, for the immediate action needed and the decisions that were to come next.
In the matter of a minute or less, my brother arrived at the scene only to realize that Tootsie had already trudged away to a nearby porch in his direction, hoping to find her way back to him. She was transported to CARES in Langhorne, while Taylor held her in his arms- unsure if it would be the last time he would ever do so.
Tootsie now is faced to overcome several injuries- the biggest of which is hip luxation alongside multiple lacerations, bruising/swelling to her left eye, and slightly bruised lungs amongst other injuries. Tootsie is currently stable while she awaits evaluation from a surgeon at CARES. One thing we do know, however, is that she still has a happy and comfortable life that is worth living if she were to be operated on. It truly shatters my heart to even have to think twice about the costs involved when it comes to her life.
I will briefly note that Tootsie is the kindest, most gentle, and well trained pit bull who was rescued 6 years ago, just hours before euthanization at the hands of a kill shelter in Denver, CO. She has since supported Taylor not only as a service dog, but as the most loyal companion. As a sister, it is insanely unsettling to think of such an immediate future where Tootsie is not beside him, as she has always remained a consistent source of support for him and his own wellness. Beyond that, I cannot fathom having to walk into my house without her to greet me, to protect me, and to love me like none other, as she always does. I truly have never witnessed a bond similar to the one that Taylor and Tootsie hold.
We have (thankfully) never been faced with the need to consider a GoFundMe page, but with all of the emergency vet costs at hand, this is a matter that we are absolutely devastated over. We were only given a ballpark estimation (of about 10k), but I will keep this page updated as soon as I am informed of the exact breakdown. In already trying times, I know this is a heavier hand, but absolutely any amount would be so gratefully appreciated.
In terms of a time frame- this is an urgent matter, as Tootsie will need to be operated on within the next 12 hours. This is the hardest decision my brother has ever been dealt, and I so badly wish to get him and Tootsie the help they need.
Thank you so much for your time. Please reach out to me with any further questions or insight- every last bit of it is appreciated.
