Our Warm, Fun Friend, Lynnette
Donation protected
On May 24th, our dear friend, Lynnette experienced some terrible chest pains that sent her to the ER. The pain continued and she spent the night in Livingston's hospital. When she woke on Sunday morning, her leg was paralyzed. Livingston suggested she transfer to Billings, so she was transported by ambulance to Billings Clinic. After a lot of testing, blood draws and lab work, they found a lesion on her Spinal Cord. They tracked her issue to a bout with an auto immune disease from 25 years ago. The current diagnosis is a condition called Sarcoidosis; one that has the best luck of being reversible. Of course, this will require ongoing in-bed physical therapy, lots of work and continued prayers. Lynnette has transferred to a Rehabilitation Hospital and has begun her therapy.
She misses her friends and family and the love of her dogs...but remains incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
We are starting this GoFundMe as a way to support our incredible friend. In this uncertain time, Lynnette remains one of the warm and compassionate people that we need to help lift the rest of us. She does that with her humor, her empathy and her constant push for a kinder world.
She has given decades of her best self to each of us, to our community and to our children in her capacity as a teacher and drama coach, a lover of animals and a good friend to many.
We're with you, Lynnette...and we'll be right by your side as you navigate this journey toward recovering your health.
