Our Watauga friend Jackie Vernon

To my Watauga, Haltom, and yes, my Richland friends. With permission, I can tell you about my best man at my wedding in 1991. Jackie Vernon was recently diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the mouth, jaw, and soft pallet. Cancer is a beast!!. For those that know Jackie, he is a badass friend that will give you the shirt off his back. I want to rally together and support him and his beautiful family. Back in the day, my parents did not think he was a good influence on me growing up. On the contrary, he shaped who I am today. Cancer takes a toll on your body, but it also costs $ to battle. I think this group of friends that know him would agree. Thank you. Go Warriors, Go Buffs, and yes, Go Rebs...
